Hoop Yoga Flow for Crown (Sahasrara) Chakra

Note: Feel free to use the exercises below with a rope, staff or stick. Also, simply performing them as natural yoga asanas is just as excellent.

Colour: Diamond White/ Violet

Element: Thought


Purpose: Inspiration, Divinity, Bliss

Helps eliminate or reduce disconnection to self, spirit and world, isolation and loss of direction

• Lotus • Dophin Pose or Head Stand • Child's Pose • Staff Pose • Seated Forward Bend • Seated Wide Angle Pose & Variations • Reclining Bound Angle Pose with Spin • Corpse Pose •



Meditation


Sit comfortably with your spine straight. Hands relaxed on your knees, palms facing up or down. Stare 20 seconds at the chakra image below, memorizing it. Softly begin to close your eyes and visualize the chakra embracing the crown of your head, like a protective helmet. Continue the visualization by inviting a white light connecting you and the sky; the source; the divine. Steady your breath, and start to chant the mantra "OM" vocally or silently to yourself, on each exhalation. Imagine that at every exhalation the white light is pulsing positive energy and information between you and the source.

Continue the meditation for 5-10 minutes or for as long as you please. Optional meditation music here
