Hula Hoop Dance and More!

72706550_10215869367186595_3478678121098

The origin of the hula hoop can be traced back to Native American culture, where it served as a key element in their traditional dances. These dances utilized the hoop as a prop to convey a wide range of both stationary and dynamic shapes, each symbolizing various animals, symbols, and elements of storytelling.

Hula Hoop dance and exercise offer an excellent means of promoting fluidity in different parts of the body, including the chest, midsection, and hips. It enhances coordination while attempting various tricks involving twirling, rolling, and tossing. Consistent hula hooping practice also fortifies the core and upper body muscles that provide support to the torso, ultimately contributing to the alleviation of lower back pain.

Furthermore, when you combine yoga with hula hooping, it becomes a powerful tool for enhancing one's personal practice and establishing a solid foundation of strength, coordination, and balance.

A Little More About Me

Greetings! I'm Georgia Aurelia Kollias, and I'm delighted to welcome you to my haven of movement, which I affectionately call Auralogica. I hail from Canada but proudly trace my ancestral roots back to Greece and Poland.

My educational journey has revolved around the fascinating world of Exercise Science, delving into the intricacies of human physiology and anatomy. I've explored how movement can be a powerful tool for the body, aiding it in adapting, healing, and safeguarding against present and future injuries.

My quest for knowledge has also led me to attain a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate (twice!), alongside a diploma from Integrative Nutrition, where I honed my skills as a Health Coach. With all that, I am equally certified as a Kids' Yoga teacher through Cosmic Kids.

Throughout the years, I've crafted numerous opportunities to share my passion, primarily centered around yoga, dance, and hula hooping. I've had the privilege of imparting these disciplines at various events across diverse countries. Teaching what I adore to anyone I cross paths with is truly a blessing, and I eagerly anticipate countless more enriching moments like these in the future.

"Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame."

B.K.S. Iyengar

I was lucky to stumble upon Georgia's online hoop yoga class by chance. I actually didn't have a hoop on hand and was invited to take part anyway. I had a lot of fun from the first class. Mainly, because Georgia is super nice, spontaneous, and creative and simply involved me in the class with individual practices even although I was the only one without a hoop. After the first lesson, I was totally excited for more and appeared to her class every week. Georgia has a wonderful energy that totally inspired me and that always carried over to me during the class. She explains the exercises in a very understandable and uncomplicated way so that you can follow them well as a beginner but also with possible variants for more advanced learners, and I loved her Yoga flows. The atmosphere was always very familiar and nice. Every week I was really looking forward to this "event" in quarantine and thank you Georgia very much for this great exchange and the beautiful and often also funny hours event" in quarantine and thank you Georgia very much for this great exchange and the beautiful and often also funny hours
